The Floorservice Floorboy XL300 is a compact eccentric single-disc machine for maintaining, oiling, buffing and lightly polishing wooden floors and other hard floor surfaces.

Its eccentric movement makes the machine stable and easy to control. Move it calmly backwards and forwards across the floor and allow the weight and movement of the machine to do the work.

The Floorboy XL300 is particularly suitable for domestic use and smaller professional maintenance projects. It helps to distribute maintenance oil, hardwax oil and maintenance wax evenly and work them into the surface. This produces a faster and more even result than fully manual application.

What can the Floorboy XL300 be used for?

Depending on the selected pad or brush, the machine can be used for:

Choosing the correct pad

Always select the pad according to the treatment, maintenance product and sensitivity of the floor.

• White pad: very fine; for dry buffing, light polishing and removing small amounts of excess oil

• Beige pad: fine; particularly suitable for working oils and maintenance products evenly into the surface

• Red pad: slightly more aggressive; for working in products, light cleaning and keying

• Green pad: for stronger cleaning on suitable surfaces

• Black pad: coarse; only for heavy cleaning or stripping on resistant surfaces

• Microfibre pad: for damp cleaning suitable hard floors

• Wool pad: for dry polishing and buffing

Our heavy-duty 13-inch pads measure approximately 33 cm and extend slightly beyond the pad driver. This helps protect the edge of the driver during use. Always choose the size listed as suitable for the Floorboy XL300.

Test the selected pad and product on an inconspicuous area first. A pad that is too coarse may damage delicate floors or cause unwanted differences in gloss.

Brushes for the Floorboy XL300

Special buffing and scrubbing brushes can be fitted instead of a pad.

The buffing brush is designed for general buffing work and applying suitable maintenance products. The stiff nylon scrubbing brush is intended for scrubbing tiles, stone, concrete, flagstones and other resistant hard surfaces.

Do not use a stiff scrubbing brush on delicate wood, lacquered surfaces or soft flooring without first confirming that it is suitable.

Applying floor oil with the Floorboy

Always read the instructions for the selected oil before application.

Apply the prescribed amount of oil thinly and evenly. Fit a suitable beige or red pad and work the oil calmly into the wood. Work in manageable sections and do not allow the oil to dry before it has been distributed.

Remove all excess oil within the specified working time using a clean pad and suitable cotton cloths. No wet or thick layer of oil should remain on the floor.

Warning: pads and cloths saturated with oil may spontaneously ignite. Spread them out flat outdoors to dry completely or store and dispose of them in accordance with the instructions supplied with the oil.

Operating the Floorboy XL300

Fit the required pad driver, pad or brush while the machine is unplugged. Make sure the accessory is mounted flat and correctly centred.

Check that the switch is in the 0/off position before connecting the plug. Hold the handle firmly with both hands, release it using the foot pedal and move it into a comfortable working position.

Guide the machine evenly backwards and forwards. Do not allow it to operate in one position for an extended period and never run over the electrical cable.

If the machine begins to jump or vibrate excessively, switch it off immediately and check that the pad, brush and pad driver are correctly fitted.

Care and storage

Switch the machine off and unplug it before removing the pad, brush or pad driver.

Always remove damp or dirty pads after use and clean the accessories according to their instructions. Do not store the machine resting on a fitted brush or pad driver, as this may cause the accessory to deform.

Clean the machine itself with a slightly damp cloth only. Never rinse it with water and always store it in a dry location out of reach of children.
