Floorservice scrubbing brush for Floorboy XL300 and XL450

Floorservice Scrubbing brush for Floorboy XL300 and XL450

This special Floorservice scrubbing brush has been developed for powerful machine scrubbing with the Floorboy XL300 and Floorboy XL450.

Its stiff bristles help loosen ingrained dirt, deposits and other stubborn contamination from water-resistant hard floor surfaces. The movement and weight of the Floorboy considerably reduce the amount of manual scrubbing required.

The brush can be used with a suitable floor cleaner or, when permitted by the surface and type of contamination, with water. Always confirm that the floor, cleaning product and selected treatment method are compatible.

Suitable surfaces

The scrubbing brush can be used on:

• Ceramic tiles

• Flagstones

• Concrete floors

• Stone

• Suitable natural stone floors

• Water-resistant resilient flooring

• Other strong and scratch-resistant hard surfaces

Only use a cleaning product specifically suitable for the relevant type of natural stone. Acidic cleaners can permanently damage lime-based stone such as marble and limestone.

Not automatically suitable for wood

This brush has stiff bristles and is therefore not intended for normal cleaning of delicate wooden floors.

Do not use it without first testing on:

• Parquet and plank flooring

• Lacquered or varnished floors

• Soft wood species

• Laminate

• PVC with a delicate wear layer

• High-gloss surfaces

• Other scratch-sensitive flooring

Use a suitable buffing or microfibre pad for the normal cleaning and maintenance of wooden flooring.

Benefits of the Floorboy scrubbing brush

• Suitable for Floorboy XL300 and XL450

• Designed for powerful machine cleaning

• Stiff and durable synthetic bristles

• Loosens stubborn dirt and deposits

• Suitable for various hard floor surfaces

• Easy to fit underneath the Floorboy

• Can be used with a suitable floor cleaner

• Less physically demanding than manual scrubbing

Fitting the scrubbing brush

Switch the Floorboy off and unplug it from the power supply.

Place the scrubbing brush flat on the floor. Position the machine directly above it and press the machine carefully and evenly into the attachment. Before starting, check that the brush is level, secure and correctly fitted.

Never operate the machine when the brush is crooked or incorrectly attached. An incorrectly mounted brush may cause the machine to jump or vibrate excessively.

Cleaning with the scrubbing brush

First remove dust, sand and other loose dirt with a vacuum cleaner or soft broom. Sand and small stones may cause scratches during scrubbing.

Test the treatment on a small inconspicuous area first. Apply a small amount of suitable cleaning solution according to the cleaner’s instructions.

Guide the Floorboy calmly and evenly backwards and forwards. Do not allow the brush to work in one position for an extended period and do not use more water than necessary.

Immediately remove loosened dirt and dirty water with a wet vacuum, suitable mop or microfibre pad. Do not allow contaminated water to dry on the floor.

Repeat the treatment if necessary and rinse the surface with clean water when instructed by the cleaning-product manufacturer.

Use with the Floorboy XL450

The Floorboy XL450 can be fitted with an optional liquid tank. This allows a suitable cleaning solution to be dispensed in a controlled manner in front of the brush during use.

The liquid tank is not included with this scrubbing brush and must be ordered separately.

Only use the tank and brush on flooring that is resistant to water and intensive scrubbing. Avoid puddles and excessive moisture.

Important safety advice

• Always use the Floorboy according to its operating instructions

• Keep the machine, plug and electrical connection dry

• Never operate the machine in the rain

• Inspect the electrical cable before every use

• Never run the machine over its cable

• Never mix different cleaning products

• Do not use flammable or explosive cleaning products

• Keep hands, hair and loose clothing away from moving parts

• Unplug the machine before fitting or removing the brush

• Never leave the connected machine unattended

Cleaning after use

Unplug the Floorboy and remove the brush.

Thoroughly rinse dirt and cleaning-product residue from the bristles. Use clean water and follow the instructions supplied with the cleaning product where necessary.

Allow the brush to dry completely before storing it. Store the brush flat and do not leave the Floorboy standing on the fitted brush for extended periods. This prevents the bristles from becoming deformed.
