The Osmo Microfibre Roller 25 cm is a high-quality roller for applying Osmo wood finishes thinly and evenly. It is an original component of the large Osmo Floor Roller Set and is ideal as a replacement or additional roller.

The specialist microfibre structure provides good product absorption and an even, controlled release. This helps distribute oils, Polyx-Oils, stains and other suitable wood finishes efficiently without applying unnecessary amounts of product.

The roller is supplied with a practical storage tube. It can be stored airtight inside the tube during a short break between coats, allowing it to be reused for the next application.

Additional equipment required

Fit the roller onto a suitable 25 cm roller frame. The frame can also be connected to an Osmo telescopic handle, allowing large floor areas to be treated comfortably while standing.

How to use the Osmo Microfibre Roller

Stir the product thoroughly before and during application. Pour a suitable quantity into a clean roller tray.

Load the roller evenly on all sides and then roll it carefully across the ridged section of the tray. The roller should contain sufficient product without dripping.

Apply the wood finish thinly and evenly:

1. Work in manageable sections.

2. Roll in the direction of the wood grain wherever possible.

3. Spread the product carefully and avoid applying excessively thick coats.

4. Remove overlaps, accumulations and visible roller marks immediately.

5. Treat bevelled edges, corners and difficult areas with a suitable brush.

6. Follow the drying time and number of coats stated in the instructions for the selected finish.

When applying wood oils and Polyx-Oils, a thin and evenly distributed coat generally provides a better result than an excessively heavy application.

Storage between coats

If the next coat is to be applied the following day, distribute the remaining product evenly through the roller and temporarily store it airtight in the supplied storage tube, following the relevant product instructions.

The storage tube is intended for short interruptions between coats and not for long-term storage. Always inspect the roller for dried material and suitability before using it again.

Cleaning after use

After the final application, clean the roller with the cleaning product specified for the finish used.

For many oil-based Osmo finishes, use an appropriate Osmo Brush Cleaner. For water-based products, follow the cleaning instructions on the packaging or in the technical product information.

Never leave rollers or other materials unattended when they are saturated with oil. Follow the safety and disposal instructions supplied with the finishing product.
