Decking Brush Set for applying decking oil

This complete Decking Brush Set is designed for the thin, even and controlled application of decking oil and other suitable oil-based wood finishes. The wide 150 mm decking brush distributes the product efficiently across decking boards, patios, garden furniture and other exterior wooden surfaces.

The high-quality bristles absorb the product and release it evenly onto the wood. This provides greater control than a standard paint roller or inexpensive general-purpose brush. The small 25 mm brush is ideal for end grain, joints, edges, grooves and other difficult-to-reach areas.

Why use a dedicated decking brush?

A suitable decking brush helps distribute oil in a thin and even layer. This reduces the risk of excess product, uneven sheen, sticky areas and unnecessary product consumption.

The wide brush follows the grain and profile of the wood and reaches textured sections and small gaps between decking boards more effectively than many standard paint rollers. The paint tray and disposable liners make it easier to control the amount of product and simplify cleaning after use.

Applying decking oil

The wood must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease, green growth and loose previous coatings. Always follow the preparation and application instructions supplied with the selected decking oil.

Stir the product thoroughly. Pour a suitable amount into a tray liner and load the decking brush evenly. Remove excess material using the ridges in the paint tray.

Apply the oil thinly and evenly in the direction of the wood grain. Where possible, treat each decking board along its full length to prevent visible overlaps. Use the 25 mm brush for end grain, joints, edges and difficult-to-reach areas.

Do not leave thick or wet layers of oil on the wood. Remove any excess within the time stated in the application instructions for the selected product.

After use

Clean the brushes immediately after use with the cleaning agent recommended for the applied finish.

Never leave oil-soaked brushes, cloths or other application materials bundled together. Always follow the safety instructions provided on the packaging of the oil and cleaning product.
