Osmo Tannin Spot Remover 6602 – 250 ml

Osmo Tannin Spot Remover 6602 provides targeted treatment for black tannin stains on wood. The spray bottle lets you treat the discoloured area locally. It is ready to use and requires no dilution.

Developed for untreated and oiled wooden surfaces, it is particularly suitable for oak and other wood species with a high tannin content.

When should you use it?

Use it for dark discolouration caused by tannin reactions on surfaces such as oak flooring, tables, furniture and wooden worktops.

Results depend on the cause and depth of the stain, the wood species and the existing finish. Always test an inconspicuous area first.

Treating the stained area

1. Remove dust and loose dirt.

2. Spray evenly until the entire stain is covered.

3. Check the result during treatment. Remove the product once the stain has noticeably improved, allowing a maximum reaction time of 30–45 minutes.

4. Wipe away with a lint-free cloth.

5. Repeat if necessary, then wipe the surface clean with clear water.

Clean used tools with soap and water.

Restore the protective finish

Allow the treated area to dry completely before applying oil again. Allow approximately 24–48 hours, depending on conditions.

Restore protection with a suitable Osmo Maintenance Oil or Polyx-Oil that matches the existing finish.

Check before starting

Treatment may lighten the wood locally. Testing is especially important on coloured or smoked wood.

Not suitable for subsequent finishing with waterborne, dispersion, PUR or NC lacquers.

Protect metal components and plants from direct contact.
