Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain Effect Silver

Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain Effect Silver combines visible wood grain with a silver metallic effect. Based on natural oils, it provides a decorative satin finish while protecting exterior wood against weathering.

The microporous finish allows the wood to breathe, repels water and reduces swelling and shrinkage.

Suitable exterior applications

Use Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain Effect Silver on:

• Timber cladding and garden sheds.

• Fences and pergolas.

• Carports and wooden balcony components.

• Exterior doors, window frames and shutters.

• Wooden garden furniture.

This product is intended for exterior use only. It contains active ingredients that help protect the coating against mould and algae.

1141 Quartz Silver is listed separately as a colour available on enquiry. Please check availability and ordering conditions before placing an order.

The wood species, surface condition and application amount influence the final colour. Always test the product on the actual wood before treating the entire surface.

Application

1. Ensure the wood is clean, dry and frost-free. Maximum wood moisture content: 20%.

2. Completely remove old paint and varnish. Thoroughly clean existing microporous stains.

3. Stir well. Apply without thinning.

4. Apply a thin, even coat along the wood grain and spread thoroughly.

5. Allow the first coat to dry for approximately 4–6 hours, with good ventilation.

6. Apply a second thin coat.

Allow approximately 12 hours for drying after finishing under normal conditions. Low temperatures and high humidity increase drying times.

Coverage and maintenance

Approximate coverage is 26 m² per litre per coat on smooth wood, equivalent to around 13 m² per litre for two coats. Rough or highly absorbent surfaces may require more product.

For maintenance, one fresh thin coat is usually sufficient on a clean, dry and sound surface.

Safe use

Read the label and Safety Data Sheet before use. Keep away from ignition sources. Product-soaked cloths may self-ignite through heat build-up; handle them according to the safety instructions.
